Hindustan Motors Limited (HML) is India's premier automobile manufacturing company. It was established in 1942 by Mr. B.M. Birla of the renowned Birla family.

Hindustan Motors Limited manufacturers passenger cars (Ambassador). Multi Utility Vehicles (Trekker, Porter, and Pushpak) and the RTV. The company also manufactures passenger cars in the mid size premium segment (Mitsubishi Lancer) and has brought in Sports Utility Vehicle (Mitsubishi Pajero) into the Indian market in collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors, Japan.

Ambassador was the first car to be manufactured in India and has been plying on Indian roads since 1948. Its dependability, spaciousness and comfort factor have made it the most preferred car for generations of Indians.

With the passage of time Ambassador has upgraded itself and now comes loaded with latest technological features. Its MPFI engine with 16-bit ECU ensures easy cold start. Mitsubishi Lancer is specially designed for Indian road conditions. Its innovative technology combines economy with performance. Mitsubishi Lancer comes with wax injection, which improves resistance to body corrosion in rust prone areas and its tropicalised AC is customized for Indian conditions.

Mitsubishi Lancer comes in both petrol and diesel options. Petrol option comes in two variants-1.5-litre and 1.8-litre engines-and diesel option comes with 2.0-litre engine.

Lancer has optimum power to weight ratio - 87/1010 bhp/kg ~ 0.0861 bhp/kg which provides for its excellent stability. Its smaller turning radius of 5.1m makes it easy to maneouvre in city traffic. The flat torque curve of the Lancer provides better tractability allowing one to drive without shifting gears frequently.

Powered by a 2.0L, high torque, ECI-MULTI engine, Mitsubishi Lancer Cedia can attain a top speed of 180 kmph. Cedia is equipped with ventilated disc brakes that stop you when you intend to. Lancer Cedia has a 32-bit microprocessor, which monitors and controls everything from fuel consumption to rpms to your safety.

Mitsubishi Pajero is equipped with 4M40 2.8litre 4 cylinder Indirect Injection Diesel Engine with intercooler and turbocharger, which generates an awesome power of 118.5 bhp @ 4000 rpm and torque of 29.8 kgm @ 2000 rpm.

Pajero's silent shaft technology helps keep the engine smooth and delivers superior low-end torque needed for satisfying on-road acceleration.

Mitsubishi Pajero has state-of-the art safety features. Its collision safety-enhanced body consists of impact-absorbing crushable zones and a highly rigid cabin structure, which is strategically reinforced.
